My Senior Moments

My Senior Year has barely started and already it's been filled with a lot of unforgettable moments. I love it because they don't have to be huge moments or anything out of this world to be unforgettable. The moments could be any little thing such as just starting our senior year. I remember how fun the first day of school was. We didn't do much, but we got a chance to catch up. It's great how a lot of people have had birthdays lately. We have celebrated them by making them special by having pool parties, eating cake and just hanging out. I love my group of friends because I'm guaranteed to have fun no matter what we do; and, it doesn't take much effort to do that. A lot of my senior moments have been with them, but also have been with my class. I loved how the pep rally worked out. The activities were fun and we won all of them! I think we have definitely proved to everyone in the school that we can do anything and come out as winners! I absolutely cannot wait for the rest of the school events or even for the remainder of moments with my friends. Like I have said in my previous blog post, it's going to be a great year!

Nincompoops!

The article speaks of many pros and cons having to do with the advancement in technology and about products that are advertised nowadays. I would have to say that I agree with a lot of it. I mean it's true, we are so used to being handed things that sometimes the simplest thing turns out to be the hardest. Some things that appear hard are just so easy to do. I'd be lying if I told you I have never used google to look up some instructions as to how to construct or cook something. It's just so easy to look it up on the internet; and, in less than a second, it's all there! Not everyone is like this though.  A lot of people do know how to make a lot and in my point of view it all just depends on how you were raised. My parents always enforced chores on me; however, not every parent does that so a lot of kids do not know how to wash dishes, mop, sweep, wash clothes or anything chore-related. Technology makes it fairly easy for us; a lot of people use dishwashers instead of  actually washing the dishes by hand; and, in that way we are spoiled. We are spoiled with all of these new innovative things, it's crazy! I do not think that the new technology is bad. I just think that we should all know how to use technology and still know a little bit about the "old fashioned" ways to do something; so, our generation will not be known as the "nincompoops".

Concert Photography

I discovered Paramore back when i was about 14 years old. Instantly I felt a connection with the band, and very soon I fell in love with it. My friends and I all loved Paramore and still do; and, we have always planned to go see them live. Although it has never happened I do still wish to one day see them in concert. I believe that as they are a great band with great music they will put on an awesome show and the performance will be unforgettable. I would love to take pictures of every instant I could of the concert because I would never want to forget any minute of it; and, I would love to share their concert to my friends. However, I would not want to take pictures throughout the whole concert because I still would want to enjoy the concert; and, it is way better to see the concert with your own eyes as opposed to through a camera lens. I would post the pictures on my blog or internet site so everyone could see; so, yes, I would create an online photo gallery and probably include some videos so more people can see Paramore and get a feel for what it is like to see them perform live.

A Photojournalist

To be a photojournalist means to be dedicated and to be able to utilize a photo to tell a story. Your mission as a photojournalist not only is to showcase a picture but to be able to portray emotion in that one shot; and, to have the public view your picture and admire it for a while. A photojournalist needs to be ready at any time to have that one shot; so, dedication plays a big role in having success as a photojournalist. I would like to be a photojournalist because I think it is very interesting how words do not have to be shown to the public to tell a story.

Photographic Fakery

In journalism, there are always individuals that are going to play with people's mind and make them believe any picture or story out there. Many of them use photoshop or use different programs to manipulate the pictures which then makes it hard to interpret whether the picture is the real picture. Unfortunately, the photographers that manipulate photos make the public doubt the ones that are actually being honest. Many photographers and journalists are often not given credit for their work simply because of all of the manipulators. It all comes down for photographers and journalists to add a source under their pictures and to never be tempted to manipulate a story or a picture, so that individuals will always have some sort of trust in you. In this way it will be more credible and there will be no doubts.

My First Impressions of School

I ended the summer on a very good note. It went by fast but it was wonderful and filled with a lot of great times! Although I did not want it to end, I was looking forward to my very last year of high school. So far, my year has been extremely fun. The first days of school weren't as bad as imagined; the work load has not caused me as much stress as before and I have had great moments with all of my friends. These past few weeks have led many of us to become closer and create stronger bonds; and they have brought many moments that will later be remembered as the greatest days of high school. I am very happy that the year has started awesomely; and, I absolutely cannot wait to continue making new memories with my best friends and planning for the future!
